Washington, DC October 2011
The business class car on Amtrak. The seats were comfortable and the car was fairly quiet.
My second cousin had a bowling party for his birthday celebration.
Lots of rowdy kids.
It's blurry, but I bowled a 133 and then a 141. My relatives were impressed.
Me stylin' at the Redskins-Philly game.
A shot from my awesome seat.
The Redskins marching band.
The Eagles are about ready to punch it in. They ended up winning 20-13 in an ugly game.
I took my college friend, Kelly.
On Monday, I walked around the Mall.
The US Capitol.
The Washington Monument which was closed for repairs due to the earthquake earlier this year.
Another shot of the Washington Monument.

Some strange stuff.
Don't forget from where you came.
The WWII Memorial administrative building.
The Reflecting Pool is closed for repairs.
The Korean War Memorial.
A far-away shot of the Korean War Memorial.
No, it is not.
Some gifts from Korea.
This shot would've been cool had the pool actually had water in it.
The Lincoln Memorial.
A shot down the Mall from the steps.
Honest Abe. I thought he would be bigger.
The Gettysburg Address.
His second inauguration address.
A sculpture on the way to the Vietnam War Memorial.

More Navy planes.
A cool sculpture in the National Sculpture Garden.
Don't mess with a ripped George Washington in the Museum of American History. I thought I took some shots of the outside of the museum, but I must've deleted them by mistake.
A Revolutionary War ship.
My cousin's dog, Lily.
A structure in Arlington Cemetery.
A view of the Mall.
Lots of tourist groups including some hoochies from the UK dressed in short skirts.
JFK's grave.
Another shot.
RKF's grave.

An honor guard.
The honor guard leader coming to make the swap.
Lots of marching.
He's telling us what's going on.
Going to get the new dude.
Inspecting the new dude's rifle.
Bringing the new dude over.
About ready to swap.
Almost done.
Walking the old dude back. The entire ceremony took about five minutes.
My great-uncle Harlan is buried in Arlington. He captained the USS Redfin during WWII. He killed a lot of Japanese and rescued some Australians. He has red marble because he was from Oklahoma.
I'm trying to look respectful at his grave site.
His daughter is also buried there.
She married a Navy captain and died young from cancer.
The location of Harlan's grave.
My souvenirs - five magnets.
